CLYO Committee Meeting Minutes Friday 27th February 2009

St Edmund's Church
l 3 lots of Performing Rights not paid as Treasurer there stood down.
l St Edmunds might get more expensive, but KW doesn't know who will take over there.
Fundraising
AK reported back from the orchestra:
l Busking – not much enthusiasm
l Sponsor playing was a possibilty. Need to find out what music would be played, which day, weekend or easter hols. JO to discuss with DS. AK to canvass orchestra. Possibly might send an email around (with hidden addresses) for ideas and agreement. FB said she would ask for responses on Clyo facebook.
l LL suggested a garden party? Her house is a long way out. JO agreed to find out what LL had in mind - Pay entrance fee? Social event for orchestra would be nice. Where?
l JO to phone Sainsbury's & Waitrose about bagpacking opportunities.
JO queried if we should set up a Friends of Clyo facebook site. Thought to be a good idea in principle, but not sure who would use it. Friends can always join the CLYO facebook site.
Insurance
Instruments in store room, at WP as clarinette not v good. Cor anglais still there as player has their own. Richard to be asked for an inventory then can decide if to insure.
Hoodies
JO thinks producing hoodies for £15 possible. KW has Bananamoon details. Decided to ask orchestra how much they are prepared to pay. It will be generic, so will not be restricted to any one year or trip. Special T shirts or hoodies may still be offered for tours.
JO doing questionnaire to go to orchestra to cover all the items discussed above.

FB said she was waiting for comments & more information for it. The email works, but no one sent anything yet DB.
Concert Leeds Town Hall 15th March
l DB sent an electroonic copy of programme to DS. Nothing else to do for TH concert.
l JO to ask DS about recording a CD at the next concert at St Edmunds (piano concerto). Agreed it would be good to sell it to current orchestra players.
l DS is getting a photographer into rehearsal, for the website. This will be funded by the Friends. Orchestra members to wear concert dress at friday rehearsal in the Town Hall.
AOB
Future minutes to go on website. - in a public area, but without addresses. Decided a private friends area is not required as nothing very contentious comes up in the meetings, and accounts all in the public arena anyway.
