CLYO Committee Meeting MINUTES 23/01/09
Present: Julie Oldfield, Katharine Widdowson, Francesca Bridgewater, David Bridgewater, Joan Cox, Julie McLeish, Louise Leach
Amy Kelvin, Sian Wild – volunteers from orchestra.

Finance
· St Edmund’s treasurer stopped work, so 3 concerts backlog due to them.
· DS still hasn’t given us any idea of how much money is needed this year. – eg Selby Abbey, Bursaries.
· Discussed a reasonable target to raise this year might be £1500.
Fundraising
· Busking
· Sponsored playing Marathon
o Ask DS what music could be played eg film music (or too expensive)
o Location – church hall? Headingley?
· Other bag packing venue?
o Sainsbury’s in Colton
o Waitrose in Otley
Insurance for our instruments
· Bass clarinette?
Giggleswick
· Orchestra all keen
· Decided to investigate hoodies from Bananamoon, or AK suggested the St John’s Centre where there is a student discount.
· Possibly give a choice of colours.
· Possibly put names on?

· Demonstrated site so far.
· Various ideas for improvements aired
· Going ‘live’ agreed.
