SPAIN 2010
Between the dates of 12 - 20 July the City of Leeds Youth Orchestra were on tour in Spain arriving hot on the heels of their victorious World Cup team.
Their first concert took place outdoors in the spectacular surroundings of the Plaza Oriente, Madrid. In an appropriately celebratory atmosphere, they received numerous standing ovations from a large and enthusiastic audience.
Subsequent concerts were given at the Monastery of San Zoilo, Carrión de los Condes: the Iglesia de Santiago, Medina de Rioseco; and the Monastery of San Benito, Valladolid (part of the Musica para Noches de Verano festival)
